    Friday is for crosses and Saturday is no day at all.
    Consequently marriages are most common on a Wednesday. A lot of people get married on Shrove Tuesday before the season of Lent sets in.
    The people also tie a boot at the back of the wedding car for luck. People also shake rice instead of confetti on the newly married couple.
    Another common custom for the bridegroom is to carry his wife in the door while some neighbours break
