    them all out he went around the fort and as he did he saw some wheat and he picked it up. He put it into his handkerchief and brought it home, and cast it into the fire. Then he got a sudden pain in his ear and died. Seven forts can be seen from this - one in Deer Island, one in Poulapuca, one in Lissycasey, one in Coney Island and three in County Limerick.
    There is a fort in Mr Callinan's land in Fortfergus. There is supposed to be gold hidden in it, and muisc is supposed to be heard there every November's night. There is also another fort about a quarter of a mile from Callinan's fort. There is supposed to be a bull dog minding gold that is hidden there.
    There is a fort in Lis na Farac. It is so called because it is believed that three giants lived there long ago. The townland gets its name from this.
    About a quarter of a mile from Mr Doyle's land there is a fort. There is a light supposed to be seen there on every November night. It is said that somebody is sure to die in the parish before a fortnight. There is gold hidden there also. Many people have tried to get it, but they have never succeeded.
