- In olden times people used to eat two meals a day:- a breakfast and supper.
The breakfast was about at 11 o.clock.
The supper was at 7 o'clock.
The breakfast consisted of potatoes and buttermilk
The supper consisted of porridge and buttermilk.
Potatoes were eaten at all the meals.
Milk was drunk and it was mostly buttermilk.
When people would be planting the potatoes they would bring a pot of indian porridge and buttermilk and eat it.
People used to sit around the table when they would be eating. They would turn out the potatoes into a big basket and leave it on the middle of the table.
