  1. It is believed that, some years ago, a few unknown men stole a safe of gold.
    They passed through Drumconrath with it. They paced along from there sadly, as they heard from the inhabitants that they were being pursued. They thought the best thing to do was to hide the gold.
    There is a graveyard called Mullyandra, near Drumconrath and they made their escape into this. People say they hid the gold under a big stone there.
    Certain men around here often intended to search for this gold.
