- To see a red sunset is a sign of good weather, but a halo round the moon is a sign of bad weather.
Indications of bad weather are dark clouds, sheep lying in hollows, swallows flying low and a mist on the mountains.
We know fine weather is coming when we see the sheep grazing high on the hills, when hills and houses which are far away appear to be near and when there is a mist on lakes.
The South Westerly winds bring the most rain to our district.- Collector
