One of the herbs people used long ago for dying articles was robin-run-the-hedge. Yellow root is growing on the bank of the river and it is deadly poison, it is used for poisoning fish.
The nettle is used for fowl, and the juice of it is a great tonic for the blood.
Briars grow in land and are very harmful and they yield fruit which makes jam.
