A sling is made of a tongue of a shoe and two cords, one tied to each end. One of the cords is longer than the other. There is a loop in one of the cords and your finger is put in it and the other is not tied to your hand at all. a stone is put in the middle of the leather, then you wind it round your head. After four or five rounds the long cord is let go and it throws the stone a long distance.
