  1. Patrick O'Connor wrote a poem "In Memory of George Hewson" when he died. He was born in 1888. He was then working for George Hewson. The poem was written in English. He was a horse trainer. He could read and write. He also wrote "The Shades of Ennismore" and "Green Robed Ennismore". The songs are sung locally. He is still alive and is horse training in the curragh.
    There is another man in Dysert. His name is Dinny Sullivan. He is a fisherman. He was born 1913. If anything happened on the bank of the river he would make a song about it. He does not put any names on
