- There are several kinds of weeds growing in the lands. The thistle, ferns, praiseach buidhe, switch grass, rushes, buachallán. They are very harmful because they spread quickly through the land and also they take away a lot of good from the land and make it poor. Thistles are booked upon as a sign of good land.
The weeds that grow in poor land are the rushes, sorn, chicken weed, switch grass, caistreabhán is used for feeding pigs or hens. Nettles are also used for feeding pigs or hens and chickens.- Collector
