I have cows called the following names: Black, Kit, Speckled, Brady, Freasy, Kicken, Polly, Short horn, Punty. In driving them in or of the field we say how how. They are bailed in the stall. The cow puts her head in between two bails and one of the bails is closed in and is caught with a hook. The walls of the stall are built of stone. The roof is slanted, it is covered with corrugated iron.
The horses are tied in the stable by the neck.(continues on next page)- Collector
