    We are told that the robin got his red breast by tearing the thorns off Our Lord's head when he was crowned with thorns. A drop of His blood fell on the breast of the robin and that is why he is called robin red-breast.
    The Crow builds her nest high upon a tree. It is made of kippings. She lays two white eggs. She stays with us all the year arround.
    The Wren builds her nest in the thatch. She lays twentyone eggs. The eggs are white with brown spots.
