- (continued from previous page)in this district. Some of the houses are slated and more of them are thatched. Ennismore got its name from the friars that lived there long ago. There are three old people over seventy living there, two of them can still speak a little Irish. A great number of people from this district went to America in former years. The place around is mostly bog and a river runs near by, and there are streams there also. These are the names of the old people, Mrs J. Carmody, Mrs T. Carmody and Mrs Fitzmaurice.
