    and "raised to" again. When the stalks are very high they spray them. Then they take them little by little every day for a few months. Then the potatoes are dug in September. Some people dig them with a plough and others dig them with a potato-digger. All the people of the house pick them and the neighbours help them too. Then they make pits and this is the way they make them. They clean a place and draw all the potatoes to it and they cover it with rushes and scraws.
