  1. Jack Lawlor a young boy a native of Glendahillon was caught at the north side of the parish by the Black-and-Tans, the time the war was on in Ireland. He was carried down to the village and held there for a night.
    In the morning he was taken out and carried up to the church field and was shot there.
    There is a big cross erected near Ballyheigue church-yard to his memory and to commemorate
