    There are two kinds of frost namely: black frost and white or hoar frost. The black frost is the more severe. Sometimes frost occurs in summer, particularly in the month of May. When it does occur it causes severe damage for it burns the tender young buds of fruit trees and young growing crops. This causes fruit to be scarce in such a year. Hoar or white frost as it is sometimes called is of a silver colour.
    The ground cools more quickly than the air about it, or as we say the ground radiates its heat more quickly and so becomes cooler. The moisture in
