A Story (ar lean)
“Many years ago a good strong woman in Connacht went to the bog to foot turf.”
(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)was not his wife. So she held out her ring and said "John dont you see the ring on my finger." He was not sure which all the time. She was very thin and pale. One day his daughter was out minding cattle in the field and her mother passed with the same top coat she used wear with a Connacht fur on it. She turned back the fur and smiled at her daughter. The daughter ran home and told her father. The father stole out for the fork and went up in the room to kill what ever was in the bed but it was gone .They say that his wife was took in the fairies.- Bailitheoir
