Ar an leathanach seo
- Long ago the first shoes that came out were called "gut a perk". The people themselves made them. The used stick them with glue or wax. They could not go near the fire or the would loosen out. When the sole would went they would stick on another and in this way they would last two or three years and then the upper would get broken.
The shoes which followed these were clogs. These made like any other shoe but the sole was made of timber with a big tip going all around it. They were often called timber shoes. The children used wear no shoes until the were fifteen years(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
