Some strong men of long ago.
About fifty years ago there lived in the locality a man John Cunninham or as he was known to his friends as Seán Bhearney.He was known as a very strong man.One day he caught a horse and caar ,and flung them four yards.Another action he did was -himself and another man from his own place named Long Mahoney met in Gort .They began wrestling (in Gort) and they rooted the paving stones in the town.
