- Long ago there was a big castle or lodge beyond in Martin Corry's farm owned by Sir Martin who was a land lord. When he died the house fell and a lot of people brought the stones to build other houses.There is a big heap of earth below where the foundation was sunk. It is now only a ruin with bushes growing there and it is said he has gold hid under it.
