- The name the people and cattle was silvers. the reason they call them that name was because long ago people would go selling them at a fair they would only get a few shillings for them.Once upon a time there was a man not far from here.Everytime he would go out ,milking the cow .When he would let his hand in to catch the cows teat another man would be pulling him in under the cow the people used to say that it was fairies.the man thought that somebody else was looking for the milk .he got afraid and did not milk the cow any more.
