- The most common birds in my district are the blackbird, thrush, cuckoo, robin, swallow, pheasant, moorhen, sparrow and many other kinds of wild birds.
There are many birds that migrate such as the swallow, cuckoo and the wild-geese.
In my district the swallows build their nests in roofs of houses, wag-tails in stacks of turf, robins in a fence, wrens in the eaves of houses, thrushes in bushes and the sparrows in walls.
Mostly all the birds' nests are circular in shape, some are lined with moss and others are lined with bogcotton and hair. All the small birds lay small eggs, such as the wren, robin and sparrow and all the other birds lay big eggs.
