  1. There are two forges in my district. The smiths that work in them are Pat Connor and Pat Kelly. Pat Kelly's father was a blacksmith but Pat Connor is the first of the Connors. The forges are situated on the roadside.
    The roofs of these forges are thatched. The door is the shape of a horseshoe. There are two or three fires within in each forge. The implements the smith uses in his work, are a bellows, a sledge, a pinchers, a rasp, an anvil, chisel and a hammer.
    The bellows is used for blowing the fire. It is made of leather. The bellows were not made locally. The pinchers is used for drawing the nails out of a horse shoe.
