Hidden Treasure.
(Mahonstown)
There is a story of a man who went and hid his money.
Thomas Nugent was very selfish and when he was making his will he did not want to give his money to anyone. After a while he told his men to dig a whole about twenty feet deep in his garden. When the men had the hole dug he told them to go in for their dinner he out his money in the hole and put in some clay over it so that the men would see the money. Then he told the men to fill in the hole.
After a long time the hole was opened and there was no money found. No lights were seen about it but a ghost is supposed to guard the hoard.
