    Hidden Treasure. ( Newcastle)
There is supposed to be treasures of great value hidden in Newcastle. They were hidden by the people who inhabited
it when Cromwell came to Ireland. They hid them because they were afraid Cromwell would secure them.
Only one attempt was made by a beggar to secure them. All he found was a small broken gun.
There is supposed to be a lot of arms jewels, and crocks of money in it. People think they are value for about a thousand pounds.
The majority of people say there are no lights to be seen. But some people claim that there are. Numerous times a ghost was seen there, but to find out whether it is guarding the treasure or not is a mystery.
