On Palm Sunday palm is distributed to the people at Mass. A tiny cross is made from it and worn by the people on their coats. On Ash Wednesday people go to the chapel. The priest puts blessed ashes on their forehead while he says some words in Latin. This is to remind you that you are made from ashes and that you will return to ashes.
On Easter Sunday and at Christmas are the special times for getting holy water.
