One time a man in Killimer had a servant boy working with him. The boy was very disobedient. There was a tree growing in the yard which was said to be haunted by a man and a woman dressed in white. The servant boy said he would cut down the tree. The man told him not to have anything to do with it. But the servant boy would not heed him, so he went to cut the tree. When he had it nearly out the tree fell on his back and killed him. Several people came to the place but could not lift the tree off his back. They sent for the priest and he could not take away the tree. So the sent for a woman named Casey, when she arrived at the place, she rolled off the tree.
