  1. About (thirty two) fifty eight years ago,in the month of February,a great heavy coat of snow fell. It fell so heavy that you could not know the road from the river,or the field from the garden, or the dry ground from the logach.
    No animal could travel or they would get smothered.
    There was about fifteen feet of snow on the road and about twenty feet in the river. There was no water to be had unless you carted to it. The people used
