  2. Bread in Olden Times

    In olden times bread was made from Wheat. It was growing locally. The querns were used make potato cakes and stampy and oat-meal bread. Long ago enough of bread was made for a week. There were marks cut on the top of the cake and this is done yet. The bread was made in an oven or a griddle.
