  1. St Brigid's day They make wooden crosses and nail them on to the rafters of the houses.
    St Patrick day All the Irish people wear shamrock on their coats and some men wear it on their hats in honour of St Patrick. Ash Wednesday morning most of the people go to Mass and the priest puts holy ashes on their foreheards.
    St Martin's day the people kill a fowl and preserve the blood of it as it is supposed to be a cure for a sudden pain.
