    a man named Mr. Kelly discovered there the opening of two of the caves and people came from distances to see them. Though they were explored nothing of any value was found.
    Not far from Ballyforan is the village of Dysart and some distance further off there is an old cemetery in which are the ruins of a church. It was supposed to be wrecked by a cannon ball fired from the hill of Aughrim. There is also a mansion quite close to Ballyforan village. It was a beautiful places long ago, surrounded by gardens and lawns and a beautiful orchard and great woods of oak and chestnut. The woods are cut down
