  1. There is a field in Runagry know as Croch án na gun. In that field there was war once and the people that won the war hid a pot of gold under a large stone. It is said that there is a large serpent round the pot and that he will not let anybody near the pot until some certain person dies. When that person dies the serpent will change into words and the words will be “Better now than never”. It is said that the person who gets the pot will be eaten by the serpent.
