    famine in Ireland a man came into the house [of] Lieutenant Clarke, and he was hungry. He saw bread lying on the table and he took it, and he ran away but he was over-taken, and he was ordered by Lieutenant Clarke to be put to death.
    The oak-tree was the first to be seen, and on this tree he was hanged, and some people say that a man is to be seen at it.

  2. There is an old ruin to be seen in the townland of Mullaghagarry known as the "Steeple".
    Every year a number of people go and visit it and bring home Mulberries.
