  1. One time there lived a poor man and woman in Breen Drumkeen, and one day a fairy came in and asked her for meal.
    She went to the barrel and she said she had not a grain to support themselves.
    Then the fairy told her to go back and look into the barrel and when she went back the barrel was full. And the fairy asked her, would she give her any meal, and she said she would.
    After that the old woman never was without meal, and when a whirl blast comes it is said that it is the fairies paying back the meal.
