    Slievemore, Slievemore, you are standing there
    With your head so high and your side so bare,
    Rising sublime from the dark blue sea,
    An image and a type of Eternity.
    At the foot of Slievemore is our childhood passed,
    Tho' far, fr away may our lot be yet cast;
    But wherever we roam the' this world so wide.
    It's dear old form in our hearts we'll hide.
    Yes we'll remember the days of yore,
    The friends whom we loved, yet may never see more;
    The old sea-shore where our young
