    feet trod,
    And the house where we gathered all to worship God.
    The infant school where we worked and played
    Till the walls seemed to rattle with the noise we made.
    May thoughts such as these thro' life's dusky scenes
    Refresh our hearts to vernal green.
    The Orphan-house and the old Flag staff
    Will make us in turn both to weep and laugh
    While the mountain to to the sides appear
    Dimly to be seen thro' the mist of tears.
    Well, then, may we hope, there will yet come a day
    When sorrow and sin shall both vanish away,
    Well, then may we meet those we've loved of yore
