    the water and this is believed a sure cure. (2) Some believe that rubbing the wart with a black snail will remove it. The snail is to be tied to a tree by a string and left there to wither up and as it does so; the wart lessons in size and dies out also.
    To cure a cold. hot buttermilk well sugared and taken when lying down in bed at night was and is a favourite cure for a cold.
    Burns: It is said around here that anyone, who licks a man-keeper that is a four legged reptile found at the bottom of wells has the cure of a burns by licking the burn.
