  1. Bread was made from wheat and oats.
    Flour was made locally.
    Querns were used.
    Afterwards a mill was built.
    Potato cake was made and is still made from boiled potatoes and flour baked on a pan.
    Boxty is still made from grated potatoes boiled potatoes and flour. No milk was added to above.
    Oaten bread was made from oatmeal
