    "He-up Pruggy? is a term used when driving cows.
    The cow-house is called a byre. Cows are tied to stakes with ropes made from rushes known as "skye spancils". They are tied by the knecks. The tyings are home-made.
    Re. milk it is told that milk should not be spilled into the stream, cows should not be milked near a stream. There would be a danger of losing the butter.
    Re. Hatching of eggs - [?] is placed under the nest to prevent thunder causing harm to eggs
