    In that cherished old home, there are true hearts that loved me,
    Sweet rural felicity reigns there serene,
    Though I prize Australia's clime, with her blue skies above me,
    Though my heart's love is centered in Sweet Lisereen.

    God bless thee love, home in my dear native Kerry,
    And God bless green Erin, our dear Island queen,
    May love peace and joy reign happy and merry,
    In my fond ones who dwell in Sweet Lisereen.

    Young men and maidens from every station, I beg a favour for those few lines,
    There is not a spot in all this nation, deserves the praises of these tropic climes,
    But one sweet townland, a rich and soundland, quite convenient the Shannon is seen,
    Its name and story should carry glory it's the fertile plane of sweet Lisereen.
    II
    I travelled over the Straits of Dover, from that to Paris and on to Spain,
    And in all those rich lands, I could not discover one spot to please me till I came again,
