    Oh Brother dear excuse me for delaying to write so long,
    But now Im at my leisure I will compose a song.
    Whilst here amongst this class and race great changes I have seen,
    Since I left my dear old birthplace called charming Beencuneen.
    II
    Twas at the fair of Causeway many a pleasant day I spent,
    But now that I'm far away I must be quite content,
    It being in April '68 on board the European,
    That I bade farewell to Causeway and likewise to Beencuneen.
    III
    I've roamed along by that spring well,
    That runs
    Likewise round Poll a Tarbh where the tide rolls in and out.
