  1. There is only one holy well in this parish. It is in the townland of Gort na gCeann in a place called the "city".
    Numbers of people visit it on the first of May, to say their prayers and do some rounds. These rounds are said to be very good, as if you suffer from any pains or troubles or diseases, it is said you are sure to leave them after you there.
