    The landlord of this district long ago was Lord Kenmare, who lived in a demesne near Killarney. This landlord was a bad man, as he evicted many people in the district.
    He evicted Thadey Murphy and his father out of their house and lands, as they were unable to pay the rack rents demanded of them at that time. When evicted they went to live in Mrs. Murphy's old home which was situated in Mausrour [?]. They remained there until they had enough money
