  1. Travelling folk still visit this district but not in such great numbers as long ago. Now-a-days they do not ask lodging because nearly all of them have caravans in which they put up for the night, beside a hedge or in some shelter.
    The alms they receive is chiefly tea, sugar, flour, eggs, milk and sometimes a few coppers. Those who are accustomed to call tell the news they hear in other parts of the country.
