  1. Killarney is my nearest town; fairs are held there monthly. But the Fairs were not always held there. They were held at a place called Clotairin ná bFairrge long side the Muckross Hotels. The place where the fairs were held is yet to be seen. There is a Castle long side the place to where the fairs were held.
    All the fairs are now held in towns some of them are held in the country. One of the Fairs held in the country is Molahiffe Firies County Kerry.
    Another big Fair is Puck Fair; it is called because at this Fair they have a big Puck up on a stand. They sell cattle, colts (?) and horses at this Fair. The oldest fair held around Kilarney is called Clotairin Na bFairrge. When an animal is bought the person who buys gives something back and that is called the luck penny. When a buyer buys an animal he cuts tail, or his hip. He marks them with paint
