    The church of St Gobnet. There was a church founded by St Gobnet and that is the reason that this district was called Kilgobnet.

    Shanavalla / Shanara / Shanachluan
    The old homestead
    The old cattle run because it was the old run for the cattle
    Shanacluan the old mocking. It was called Shanacluan because long ago Shanacluan was all one farm and it was called the old mocking field. Cluan is the Irish of meadow.

    Cnochán
    The hill. It was called Cnochán because there is a hill in the field.

    Páirc Taidg
    Tim's field. It was called that name because the first man that tilled it was Tim.

    Páirch Fada - The long field because ti is a very long field

    Páirch Caol - The narrow field. This field is very narrow
