  1. There are several old roads in the district The Keel Road is a road leading from the Shanacluan Road to the "board of work" and going through Keel and Shanacluan. It is not known when it was made.
    There is a bóirrín leading from the Shanacluain roads to the back of Shanacluain called Pórasín a Crónaigh. All the funerals long ago from Keel and Shanacluan had to go through that bóirrín.
    The Kilgobnet road leading from the Gloshuin bridge to the Cooleanig road.
    During the bad times men worked on the roads and they got sixpence a day.
