- There are a number of blessed wells throughout Ireland. There is one about half mile from Kiltimagh town. It is there a thousand years. Before it came there it was in Cortoon. At that moment the well rose from the ground and went to the place is now. I know a field in which there is a stone which fell from the little tower that was beside the well.
