There was once a monastery in Ardcrone.

There was once a monastery in Ardcrone. Monks were living there. Every day they used to go to the top of the hill and recite the rosary. That is why it was called Ardcrone or the hill of the rosary.
In the reign of Queen Elizabeth the monastery was knocked down and all the monks were killed. It is now a burial ground.
One of Queen Elizabeth's soldiers went in there one day. He saw a skull and he kicked it. The skull spoke saying
    "Today for me
    Tomorrow for you
    as now you are
    So once was I
    Prepare for death
    And follow me"
The next day the soldier was killed in Ambush and he himself was a skull then.
