Michae Leahy, Highstreeet, Tynagh, who is still living jumped a boghole twenty feet wide. He also jumped seven barrows that were in a row. He did these about forty six years ago.

There was a man named Thomas Gohery of Lisheen who used to carry a quern stone from the forge out to the road and back again. No two men nowadays could carry it. John Burke of Lecarrow used to raise a wheelbarrow in his teeth by the leaf. They had four sods on it.
