There was a herb called gladam. First they would pound the gladam and put it to your neck and leave it twenty four hours on. They say it always cured the mumps
    There is another herb called anlóg. It scatters and destroys crops. There is an old saying about the preasac bhuidhe "one year's growing means seven years' weeding. Garlic is a cure for bad rash on the face
